Group Study Exchange Eligibility and Selection Criteria |

Team
members must:
- be
between 25 and 40 years of age at the time of application (no waivers
will be considered),
- be
employed full-time
in a recognized profession for a minimum of two years,
- not
be a Rotarian, honorary Rotarian, or employee of Rotary or the lineal
descendent or spouse of a Rotarian, honorary Rotarian, or employee of
Rotary, or any such person who has resigned from Rotary within the past
36 months,
- not
be the spouse of another team member of the same GSE team,
- reside
or work in Rotary district 7350 (central
Pennsylvania, eastern West Virginia, and western Maryland – see ELIGIBILITY
AREA for district boundaries), and
- be
a US citizen.
Note for Puerto Rico visit:
Prospective team members must be educators who teach Spanish at
any level, elementary through university graduate programs, in public
or private schools, colleges, or universities, and have been in
that field a minimum of two years. |
Ideal
Team Members are:
- in
good health and neat in appearance,
- of
a sound, general educational background,
- able
to express themselves clearly,
- interested
in and clearly enthusiastic about their chosen profession and in possession
of outstanding vocational skills,
- open-minded,
tolerant, and flexible, and comfortable working as part of a team with a schedule that is physically and emotionally
demanding.
