District Simplified Grants |
| |
Our
District Simplified Grants program gives clubs in our district a chance
to apply for grants that may be used for local or international projects. The
District Simplified Grants Program was established by the Rotary
Foundation in 2003 as an answer to many requests by Rotary clubs to
help fund easy-to-do smaller projects. For the first time, grant money
could be obtained to do local community projects.
Each
Rotary district is allowed to allocate up to 20% of its District
Designated Funds (DDF) to the simplified grant program. Awards and
administration of the funds are left up to the district leadership but
the Rotary Foundation does require an annual report on the status of
all grants awarded.
This
money belongs to YOU; it is money that has come back to the district
from contributions you made to The Rotary Foundation three years ago.
