Educational Programs




 
District 7350 offers a broad range of educational opportunities:
  • Group Study Exchange:  a one-month professional development program aimed at any profession to learn how their craft is practiced in another country. 
  • Grants for University Teachers: a $13,000 grant to teach in a low-income country for three months.
  • Cultural Ambassadorial Scholarship: a $11,000 grant for three-month intensive study of a foreign language and culture for students
  • World Peace Fellowships: one of the world peace fellowships for students is at the graduate level, and the other is aimed at professionals already in the field.

Candidates are selected for these programs in the summer and early fall of 2008. 
So, it is time now to consider applying, for those who may be interested.

Note:
Applicants for all of the above programs must live, work, or study in one of the following areas served by District 7350 Rotary clubs (there may be more than one Rotary club in some of these general areas):
Maryland: Cumberland, Frostburg, Grantsville, Hagerstown, Hancock, Oakland, Williamsport.
Pennsylvania: Altoona, Bedford, Bellefonte, Chambersburg, Claysburg, Clearfield, Coudersport, Curwensville, Emporium, Galeton, Greencastle, Holidaysburg, Huntingdon, Johnsonsburg, Lewistown, Martinsburg, Mercersburg, Mifflintown, Houtzdale, Pleasant Gap, Ridgway, Roaring Spring, St. Marys, State College, Tyrone, Waynesboro.
West Virginia: Berkeley Springs, Charles Town, Keyser, Martinsburg, Romney, Shepherdstown.
